About the role
Our customs and logistics consultants rely on numbers they can defend. This analyst role builds those numbers. You will work with customs declaration extracts, freight invoices, shipment events and trade statistics to support customs audits, network studies and duty planning. The role is remote within the EU, with team days in Lyon roughly once a month. You will work closely with the customs team and with the finance data engineers who run our analytics platform.
What you will do
- Analyse customs declaration data to find classification inconsistencies and unused tariff preferences.
- Build freight cost models from carrier invoices and rate cards.
- Measure lead times and reliability across lanes, modes and forwarders.
- Use Eurostat Comext and Swiss foreign trade statistics to size markets and flows.
- Prepare clear charts and notes for consultants and clients.
What you bring
- 2 to 4 years of data analysis in logistics, trade or consulting.
- Strong SQL and Python or R.
- Understanding of customs declarations and Incoterms 2020.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Residence in an EU member state and English at C1 level.
Good to have
- French at B2 level.
- Experience with freight audit or TMS data.
- Familiarity with the Harmonized System nomenclature.
