About the role

Before a client acquires a business, appoints a distributor or enters a new market, it needs to know who it is dealing with. Our due diligence analysts answer that question through open-source research: corporate registries, court records, sanctions lists, media and regulatory databases. The work supports our corporate finance, trade finance and compliance teams. All research follows strict legal and ethical rules, including data protection law and a no-pretexting policy. Reports state clearly what is known, what is uncertain and where the evidence ends.

What you will do

  • Research companies and individuals across corporate, litigation, insolvency and regulatory records.
  • Map ownership and control structures, including offshore holding entities.
  • Screen subjects against sanctions, PEP and adverse media sources.
  • Write concise reports with risk ratings and clear sourcing.
  • Maintain research checklists and source lists by country.

What you bring

  • 2 to 5 years in due diligence, investigative research, compliance or journalism.
  • Strong open-source research skills and a careful approach to sources.
  • Excellent written English; French at B2 level.
  • Understanding of data protection rules under the Swiss FADP (revDSG) and the GDPR.
  • Reading knowledge of at least one further language relevant to cross-border trade.

Good to have
