Finance Data Engineer

The position
Most of our engagements depend on data held in SAP, bank portals and spreadsheets. This role makes that data usable. You will design ingestion pipelines, data models and quality checks on our analytics platform, and you will help clients build their own finance data foundations. Treasury consultants, supply-chain analysts and SAP finance consultants will be your main internal users. Data security matters here: you will handle bank statements and payment data under strict access rules.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ELT pipelines from SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC and bank statement files (camt.053, MT940).
- Model finance data in dbt on Snowflake or Azure Synapse, with tests and documentation.
- Implement data quality checks and reconciliations against general ledger balances.
- Set up role-based access and data masking for sensitive payment and HR data.
- Provide consultants with reusable datasets for cash, working capital and cost-to-serve analysis.
What the firm looks for
- 3 to 6 years in data engineering, including at least one year on finance or ERP data.
- Strong SQL and Python; experience with dbt or a comparable transformation tool.
- Experience with a cloud data platform such as Snowflake, Azure or Databricks.
- Understanding of general ledger structures, sub-ledgers and chart of accounts mapping.
- English at C1 level.
Further advantages
- Knowledge of SAP FI/CO tables such as ACDOCA and BSEG.
- Experience with Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
- French at B2 level.
